History with the Mifos Community

OpenFactor recently joined Mifos as a partner in 2018, our major reason for joining is offer Mifos core banking platform to our customers in Southern Africa region as a cost effective, robust and matured platform, and an alternative to the expensive OEM solutions that is currently available in the market. As a company, our business strategy is underpinned by the need to address the challenges around the financial inclusion through provision of a cost effective and tested alternative solutions.
Our contributions will include enhancement of Mifos platform through development of additional modules and extending the existing one to meet the local market needs. some of these functionalities we hope can be use elsewhere around the world.

Future Goals & Strategy for Mifos

We are currently on an aggressive business development focusing on creating Mifos product awareness and gradual adoption of the platform as the number platform 1 solution for the microfinance and tier 2 financial institutions in SADC region.
