Become a Certified Partner

There are three major certification levels in the Mifos Partner program – Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Certification is based on achievement and activity in the community – successful deployments, satisfied customers, and active participation are the ways to excel.

Participate: Become an active member of our community by participating in events, submitting feature requests, supporting your peers, and contributing to the community.

Get Trained: Follow our self-guided documentation and enroll in an upcoming training course.

Get Listed: Create and submit your directory profile to begin the process of getting certified.

Deploy Mifos X: Start working with MFIs, deploy Mifos X and let us know when your customer is up and running.

Benefits

Benefits of certification in the Mifos partner program vary based on your level but include the following:

Once partners achieve bronze certification, their listing will be searchable in the public Mifos Partner Directory. Silver and Gold partners will have regularly featured listings with Gold Partners getting recognized as Featured Partners on Mifos.org.

All certified partners will have access to tools and templates found in our marketing toolkit. Silver partners and above will will receive on-call sales support for large-scale opportunities and be allowed to promote their directory listings through regional AdWord campaigns.

Silver partners and above will receive access to leads originating from the Mifos.org downloads and Contact Us form submissions.

All Gold-certified Mifos partners are entitled to sit on our Partner Council which advises the Mifos management and helps to shape the vision and roadmap for the Mifos X platform. Additional seats on the Partner Council are also reserved for one partner at each of the other certification levels.

All Partners and Contributors have access to our community support channels with all certified partners entitled to a complementary Mifos X Cloud sandbox environment for testing internally or for their customers.

Achieving Certification

Certification is achieve based on points earned through the following categories. Gold partners must earn 5000 points annually, 2500 points for silver and 1000 for bronze.

The most critical component of certification is the proven ability to successfully deploy Mifos X and maintain high customer satisfaction.  To achieve the minimum bronze certification, a partner must have one live implementation. Points are earned for each new implementation, ongoing support of customers, and sharing case studies.

Active participation in the community is another way in which to earn points towards certification. Activities include attending or assisting in organizing our annual Mifos Summit or local chapter events, mentoring interns, hosting community-wide webinars, or simply attending regular community meetings and maintaining an active profile in the directory.

Continuing your professional and technical development as well as sharing this knowledge with other partners in the community is a vital part of being a Mifos partners. Successful completion of Mifos training courses and the resolution of community support questions contribute towards certification.

Being a partner isn’t just about successfully implementing Mifos X and supporting customers – it also involves contributing back to the development of the platform. Points can be earned for new enhancements, features, or modules shared with the community as well as bug fixes that are submitted. If you don’t do software development, you can still earn points by sharing functional specifications for feature requests and identifying bugs.
