SECDEP
The St. Elizabeth Community Development Program, Inc. (SECDEP), is a non-government organization established under the Archdiocese of Jaro, in the provinceof IloIlo, situated on the island of Panay in Western Visayas Region of thePhilippines.
It started off in the early 1970’s as a food program, managed under the name Jaro Archdiocesan Nutrition Program (JANP). In 1995 the name JANP was changed to Jaro Archdiocesan Small Enterprise Assistance Program (JARSEAP). By this time, the Program had evolved to also cover enterprise development that focused on economic opportunities for women in rural communities and health related education required for poor rural communities.
In March 2000, the Program was registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission in the name St. Elizabeth Community Development Program (SECDEP), catering to both Enterprise Development and Health Projects.
Vision/Mission
“SECDEP, Inc. shall be one of the leading Microfinance institutions in the Island of Panay Staffed by highly committed and professional people in the pursuit of economically empowered and values-oriented communities.
We shall provide innovative and client-responsive financial and capability building services that enhances the total well-being of the people who has less access to basic needs.
We uphold the values of teamwork,mutual respect, truth, justice and love”.

SECDEP had the following goals in deploying Mifos:
Establish the capabilities of MIFOS as an empowering technology option for Philippine MFIs

Arrive at a ‘standardized’ version of MIFOS that provides the features and reports most commonly required by Philippine MFIs
- Provide SECDEP with a long-needed software solution that they can use on a sustained basis to achieve various benefits and efficiencies like a) real-time information access, b) faster transaction processing, c) faster and accurate reports, d) improved supervision, control and decision-making
