Bulk Loan Approval

Background
Approving of loan accounts is mostly done by a branch manager. The typical scenario is that a branch manager wants to approve all the accounts which fulfill the eligibility criterion and are pending approval. Currently, the branch manager will have to go to each loan account detail page and approve the account via “Edit change status”.

Feature summary
The feature should allow user to filter all the loan accounts in his scope that are pending approval and change the status to “Approved” in bulk.

Primary flow

  • User: clicks on “Change account status”
  • System: opens the filter page
  • User: selects the branch, loan officer, type, and current status and hits search.
  • System: displays the search results page with the list of loan accounts pending approval.
  • User: selects the loan accounts where the status has to be modified, specifies “New status”, enters notes and clicks on “Submit”.
  • System: displays the confirmation page with the list of accounts where status has been modified.

Additional information

  • Branch and Loan officer lists should be populated as per user’s data scope
  • User should be allowed to perform this action only if his role permits him to do so.
  • Branch drop down should have only active branches listed
  • Loan officers- only active ones in the branch selected
  • Type- only “Loans” in version 1.
  • Current status- only “Pending approval” (“Partial application’ if pending approval is absent”) in version 1.
