Mifos needs to be configured before it can be deployed. Please read this carefully before deploying Mifos. It includes details on how to customize your properties file, set database settings, and also how to configure certain options such as Lookup Options and Hidden/Mandatory Fields through the Admin tab in Mifos. Explanations of Administrative configuration can be found as well.
Manage Mifos Shutdown and User Administration
In Shutdown Mifos, an Administrator can manage a pending shutdown of Mifos and view users that are logged into Mifos. The Administrator must have the permission "Can Manage Shutdown" in order to do this.
An Administrator can enter the amount of time before planning to shutdown Mifos, then Start Shutdown to start the process. After Start Shutdown, no more users are allowed to log onto Mifos and will get an error message if they try to do so. All other users that are already logged in get a message at the top of their screen notifying them that a shutdown will occur and that they will be logged off at that time.
If the Administrator changes their mind, they can Cancel Shutdown, and this will return Mifos back to normal. Users that are logged on will not see the message at the top anymore, and new users are able to log on.
