Need:
There is a need for supporting some banking operations to be done via mobile phone. This would expand the reach of Mifos to many areas where there is cellular service but not internet connectivity.
Thoughts & Suggestsions:
Implementation may be related to having a web services layer.
A community-led project has been initiated in March of 2008 to head up work towards a mobile banking interface for Mifos. Please follow the progress of Mifos Mobile on its Wiki page.
