There have been reports that the Mifos log file grows very large (2-3MB) within a few days of activity, even when warnings are turned off. This makes the log file difficult to parse. We are looking for recommendations on how to decrease the size of the log file.

With all logging (DEBUG, INFO, WARNING, ERROR and FATAL) on, it is much worse (3 Gbyte per day - kingdon's memory of what we saw in late 2006).

when i try to test the demo viersion of MIFOS ( test server ) i found a proplem in the arabic character fonts in spicaly in the retrieval mode

Which logs are growing? Have you a rotation log policy set up?
