Dilip Sevarthi and his wife, Sarita Dilip lead the Shakti Foundation, working to empower the poorest by eliminating child labor, promoting the rights of women and children, and addressing inequalities perpetuated by the caste system. Shakti Livelihood Development Programme is Shakti Foundation's  microfinance program. They provide loans of Rs. 5000/- and Rs. 10,000/- per person to the poorest, weakest, dalits, exploited, deprived, women, mothers of child labourers and bonded labourers in order to promote the livelihood. Shakti Foundation chose to work with Conflux Technologies to implement Mifos to manage their Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) serving poor.
